吕思勉（1884.2.27—1957.10.9），字诚之，江苏常州人。中国近代历史学家、国学大师。严耕入认为，吕思勉与钱穆、陈垣、陈寅恪并称为“现代中国四大史学家”。吕思勉毕生致力于历史研究和历史教育工作，读书广博，着重综合研究，讲究融会贯通，一生著有两部中国通史、四部断代史、五部专门史，加上在史学界享有盛誉的大量史学札记，共计千万余字。《两晋南北朝史》是思勉先生所著的中国断代史系列第三部。上半部叙述政治历史的变革，包括王朝的兴衰，各种重大历史事件的前因后果，各个时代的政治设施及其成败得失，以及王朝与周边少数民族及邻国的关系等。下半部则对该时代的社会文化作了全面而系统的叙述，实际上是一部广义的社会文化史，涉及社会组织、社会等级、农工商业、衣食住行、人民生计、政治制度、学术宗教等方面。 Read more
